About Eleni

Eleni Malami is a print designer and illustrator with a strong focus on hand-crafted techniques. Originally from Athens, Greece, she is now based in Brighton and Hove, England.

She graduated from Central Saint Martins in Fashion Design and has experience working for the British label L.K. Bennett. Eleni is known for integrating free-hand drawing and mark-making techniques, using water-based pencils and inks, with modern technology to manipulate her designs. Her creations are printed and hand-finished in the UK, aiming to celebrate the organic medium of hand-crafted techniques while maintaining a high-end premium product standard.

Her design philosophy often explores the concept of recreation, challenging the balance between traditional and contemporary objects, and delving into the wild nature of perception, believing that "nothing is ever black or white and one dimensional." Her work is often inspired by nature and her Greek cultural heritage.

Eleni Malami's product range, beyond her renowned bags, includes silk scarves, home accessories (such as cushions), hair accessories (like silk scrunchies and twist headbands), kimonos, and stationery. Her debut collection of silk scarves, named "Botanical Renaissance," showcased her unique take on traditional botanical drawings
